For months now, we have been working and studying all the possibilities to hold an edition of Décastar in 2021.
To date, no projection allows us to consider a festive and convivial Decastar with our enthusiastic and knowledgeable public. However, a meeting behind closed doors would not assure us of the financial support of our institutional and private partners, essential to the budgetary balance of our association.
On the other hand, the rehabilitation of the Talence stadium, initially planned between the September 2021 and 2022 editions, is also likely to be impacted by the uncertainties related to the health crisis, which could have consequences on the planning of the works.
In this unprecedented context, the Organizing Committee has taken the painful decision to postpone the Decastar, allowing work to begin in June 2021 and guaranteeing a competition in 2022.
To all lovers of athletics, we invite you to meet us in 2022 in a magnificent stadium to celebrate the return to Talence of the combined events and its athletes who have been giving us magical moments for over 45 years.
